Exactly as the name suggests, a car-derived van is a goods vehicle which has been adapted from a car. Car-derived vans look much like cars from the outside, but on the inside they offer the practicalities of a commercial vehicle. Usually there will be no back seats – instead, there’s a loading bay where your cargo is carried. Typically there are no side windows in the rear either, enabling you to keep goods and equipment more secure.
Unlike other goods vehicles, the speed limits for car-derived vans are the same as for cars, as long as they weigh less than two tonnes fully laden. At Vanwise Group, we have a wide selection of models for you to choose from, each of which is well suited to businesses that operate in cities and towns, or to small organisations that only have a limited amount to transport.
Among our stock is the Vauxhall Corsa van, a slick, stylish and nippy vehicle with a payload of up to 571 kg, a comfortable cabin and an efficient engine range. There’s also the Ford Fiesta van, which offers excellent driving dynamics and manoeuvrability, making it perfect for busy streets. The Fiesta van also carries a payload of up to 515kg and more recent editions offer the choice between an 81 bhp 1.25-litre petrol engine, a 1.4-litre diesel and a 1.6-litre TDCi diesels.
Each of our used car-derived vans is thoroughly inspected to verify its reliability and quality – before going on sale. We also carry out an HPI check to ensure there’s no outstanding finance to hinder your purchase.
